Joseph Grange is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Southern Maine. He is the author of John Dewey, Confucius, and Global Philosophy; Nature: An Environmental Cosmology; The City: An Urban Cosmology; and coeditor (with William Desmond) of Being and Dialectic: Metaphysics as a Cultural Presence, all published by SUNY Press. Roger T. Ames is Humanities Chair Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Peking University. His published works include translations of the Chinese philosophical canons and several interpretive studies. |
