The Strangest Autumn is an intriguing creative story with themes of courage and overcoming fear, friendship, adventure; thinking outside the box; conflict and resolution; perseverance; adventure; and more. Dustin tells his story as he combines the fluctuating feelings of an elementary school student with his later mature outlook and perspective as an older person. This story deeply defines his experience through his mistakes, laughter, fears, friendships, teamwork, challenges, and accomplishments. Room 10 is located in the back of the school, near a playground where many colorful trees surround the area. The problem begins as the autumn leaves keep falling out of control. This event, combined with the classroom phone being out of order, sets the scene for the need to send students on errands to help the teacher. The story's excitement heightens when the students Sandra and Bill do not return! It seems as if they have disappeared. Dustin is sent out to find them, and this is where the adventure begins!
