John Stretton is a well-known railway author and photographer, and regular contributor to Nostalgia Collection titles. He lives in Ashchurch, Gloucestershire. Peter Townsend spent seven years of his schooldays living in Swindon, when they were still building steam locomotives, so an interest in railways, while not inevitable, was certainly likely. Peter's interest in railways has developed on a broad canvas: born in Coventry on the London Midland Region he has lived for periods in all but the Scottish Region, which was a favoured area for holidays. He now lives and works in Northamptonshire.
