This book was written as a series of love notes for Black and Brown womxn. While there are many parts of this book that every womxn at some point in her life can relate to, this book was intended to grapple with the day to day experiences that are unique to womxn of color specifically. These notes are meant to provide that inner voice of authenticity, hope, and to serve as a rally cry for you as Black and Brown womxn to never give up no matter what. This book was written for the every day Black and Brown womxn. This book was written for the womxn in leadership, in subsidized housing, that rock dreads or blue hair, that's supposedly too loud, that's never been uplifted, and who secretly or openly struggles with esteem and with enoughness to name a few. This book was written just for you. This book was written for us all whether we've got it together or not. So, if you're interested in being in community with other womxn around the world that are grappling with some of the same types of challenges, this book is for you. Understand that while you might go your entire life never having heard positive feedback or feeling seen, it is not okay and has to be addressed and changed.
