Angelina Jolie is an Academy Award-winning actor, filmmaker and Special Envoy of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR. She focuses on major crises resulting in mass population displacements and undertakes diplomatic advocacy on behalf of the High Commissioner. She is co-founder of the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative, a campaign to end impunity for the use of rape as a weapon of war, a Visiting Professor in Practice at the Centre for Women, Peace and Security at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Contributing Editor at TIME magazine.
