Generalized anxiety is considered a mental illness that affects the areas of occupational performance significantly affecting the daily life of the user who suffers from it, that is why a systematic bibliographic research was conducted, based on the review of scientific studies extracted from various databases, in order to demonstrate the importance of the application of the Mindfulness method as an intervention tool in Occupational Therapy for people who suffer from this disorder, providing assertive results since by means of the use of the method there is a notable decrease of the symptomatology thus improving the participation with the environment, the labor area, educational area mainly the basic area of the daily life, so that its benefits correspond to the treatment and follow-up that is offered in each session, the acceptance of negative aspects and the time that the disorder has been present, taking into account that the Occupational Therapist is of great importance in all this.
