Edward (Ned) Black is a retired Deputy Chief of Police from a large suburban police department in Metropolitan Philadelphia. He is a Marine Corps combat veteran that spent six years in the military, has two Purple Heart medals for wounds, and is a member of the Marine Corps Association. He is a graduate of Temple University, the FBI National Academy in Quantico Virginia; and is a member of the Company of Military Historians. He is the author of: We Marines; The Annals of Time; Knife Soldiers; Delta Mike; and The Arrow of Time. He lives with his wife in rural Pennsylvania.
