Two murders or maybe only one in MCU Captain Beauregard's domain is too much. A homeless man murdered several hours after wealthy citizen Barry Greer's suspicious accident in the early hours of the same day with only his wife Laela and her sister Delilah present in the locked and alarmed home. Next the Captain is informed of the identity of the homeless man as an FBI Agent and Greer's change in his name and identity unknown to the wife. Enter the FBI with info on the Eist Coast serial murder of over forty women. Beauregard is trapped and now must allow. citizenry input from Beryl Kent, her special friend Colonel Nate Connault and the illustrious Attorney Norbie Cull. Police procedural limitations hold up the investigation when a person of interest is identified by the Captain and the reader. Beauregard develops a plan that works but not how he wished it to work. Fate enters and surprises the innocent and the guilty.
