Some journeys begin with a plane ticket, others with the hope of leaving the past behind. For me, traveling alone wasn't just about exploring new places it was about escaping the shadows that followed me. From the quiet solitude of housesitting with animals to the overwhelming energy of unfamiliar cities, every step forward revealed new found freedom and lingering fears. But traveling didn't just bring self-discovery; it also exposed the fragile connections I once called friendships. While some people faded without a second thought, others remained, proving that true friendship isn't about proximity. With every sunrise over the ocean and every moment of loneliness in an empty house, I learned that healing isn't found in running it's found in facing the whispers that never truly disappear. As my journey takes me from America to Canada, and soon back to Europe, I must confront the reality i have been avoiding: the fear of returning to a continent that holds both memories and ghosts.
