As we age, human beings are forced to confront the changes that occur in the body as a result of the passage of time and its vicissitudes. In a society whose values place a premium on youth and beauty, the aging body, which no longer meets social expectations, can be perceived by older women as inadequate and melancholic. This study addressed femininity in old age in relation to physical beauty, with the overall objective of understanding the conceptions of a group of older women regarding physical beauty. This is an exploratory descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The results were compiled in two chapters: "Physical Beauty in Old Age Defined in Words" and "The Position of Older Women in Relation to Technology and Aesthetics."
