Ed Caesar is a staff writer at the New Yorker, where he has written about subjects as various as the war in Ukraine, transnational criminals, giant diamonds, a sinking supertanker and the mysterious owners of London's largest private residence. The Comet is his third book. His first, Two Hours, won a Cross Sports Book Award. His second, The Moth and the Mountain, won a Telegraph Sports Book Award, was named a Times and Sunday Times Book of the Year, and was shortlisted for the Costa Book Award for Biography. Caesar lives in Manchester.
