Sophie Lynford is the Annette Woolard-Provine Curator of the Bancroft Collection of Pre-Raphaelite Art at the Delaware Art Museum. She is the author of Painting Dissent: Art, Ethics, and the American Pre-Raphaelites and coauthor of Picturesque and Sublime: Thomas Cole's Trans-Atlantic Inheritance.

Roberto C. Ferrari is the Curator of Art Properties at Columbia University. He has published extensively on the life and art of Simeon Solomon and is a specialist in British art of the long nineteenth century.
